Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage works in a similar way. They keep the site working, remember your choices and show us where inquiries come from.

The cookies are used by Hippo Fun, MB. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.

The site cannot work without these cookies, so they are always set.

• Session cookie and XSRF-TOKEN: strictly necessary for forms to work and to protect against forged requests. Valid for up to 2 hours.
• hf_consent: remembers your cookie choice (the categories allowed, the date and a random ID). Valid for 12 months, after which we ask again.
• __cf_bm: Cloudflare bot protection. Valid for 30 minutes.
• Stripe cookies: only on the Stripe payment page, for the payment and fraud prevention.

We set these cookies ourselves and never share them. They show us where inquiries and bookings come from and let us work out partner commissions. This is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and you can object by writing to andrius@hippofishing.eu.

• hf_ref: remembers the partner code if you came through a partner link. Valid for 90 days.
• hf_vid: a random browser id that lets us recognise a returning visitor and see where an inquiry came from. Valid for 400 days.

We load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics only if you allow statistics cookies. They help us understand how many people visit and which pages they read. Google receives your choice through its consent mode, so its tags only use what you allowed.

• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*): visitor statistics. Valid for up to 2 years.

These are only used if you allow marketing cookies.

• Google Ads cookies (_gcl_*): show which Google ad led to an inquiry or booking. Valid for up to 90 days.
• Meta Pixel cookies (_fbp, _fbc): show which Facebook or Instagram ad led to a visit, an inquiry or a booking. Valid for up to 90 days. With your consent our server also sends the same events to Meta (Conversions API).
• Facebook and Instagram (Meta): the home page shows some of our posts from these networks. Without your consent we show photos and a button instead, and load the posts only when you click it. Loading them sends your IP address and browser details to Meta, which may use its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

• YouTube: the video's preview image loads from a YouTube server (Google receives your IP address, no cookies are set), the player itself only when you click it, through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page or "Change cookie settings" at the top of this page. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the Google and Meta cookies and send nothing more to Meta.

To be able to prove your consent, we record each choice: a random ID, the categories allowed, the date, the language and the policy version, without your IP address. We keep these records for 24 months.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but without the strictly necessary cookies the inquiry and booking forms will not work.
